A4 Printer Test Page
Run a free A4 printer test page to confirm your printer feeds, scales, and aligns A4 paper correctly — print it directly from your browser.
A4 Test Print
A4 is the standard paper size almost everywhere in the world outside the US and Canada — and it's the size most printers sold internationally default to out of the box. If you've ever installed a printer, reinstalled a driver, or bought a printer designed for a different region than you're printing in, there's a real chance your printer's default paper size doesn't match what's actually loaded in the tray, and this test page exists to catch that before it costs you a ruined document.
Before you print: enable Background graphics in the print dialog's "More settings," and set the paper size to A4 so the physical sheet matches what this test is checking.

What This Reveals About Your Printer
This page prints at true A4 proportions, so it tells you two things at once: whether your printer accepts and feeds A4 stock correctly, and whether your driver's paper-size setting actually matches what's in the tray. A mismatch here doesn't usually fail outright — it quietly scales or crops content, so margins look slightly wrong, or the bottom of a page is missing content that should be there. Measure the printed sheet against the dimensions below; if it doesn't match, your printer or driver default needs to be changed, not your document.
A4 Test Page FAQ
How do I know if my printer is set to A4 or Letter by default?
Open your printer's properties or preferences from your operating system's printer settings, and look for a "Paper Size" or "Media Size" dropdown — it will show the current default directly. Windows and Mac both expose this in the printer's own settings menu, separate from any individual document you're printing.
My printed A4 test page came out smaller than 210 x 297mm. Why?
This almost always means your print dialog or driver is set to "fit to page" against a Letter-sized default, which shrinks true A4 content to fit the shorter, narrower Letter sheet. Set the paper size explicitly to A4 in both the driver settings and the print dialog before printing again.
Does my printer need special hardware to print A4?
No — nearly every printer sold in the last two decades supports both A4 and Letter without any hardware changes. This is purely a driver and paper-size setting, not a capability limitation, unless you're using a genuinely old or specialty device.
